Objective To explore the clinical and electrophysiological features of essential tremor(ET).Methods The type, degree and range of tremor and the influence of weight on tremor of 33 ET patients(ET group) and 30 physiological tremor patients(control group) were retrospective analyzed and compared. And the clinical and electrophysiological features of ET were summarized. Results The tremor degree of kinetic tremor(KT) in ET group was significantly higher than that in control group, and the tremor range was significantly larger(all P0.01);while the differences of tremor degree and range of postural tremor(PT) between ET group and control group were not significant. There was no significant change of tremor range before and after weight. The tremor frequency of ET group before and after weight was(5.20±0.37)Hz and(4.91±0.50)Hz,respectively;and there was no significant difference between them. The tremor frequency of control group before and after weight was(9.39±0.63)Hz and(5.84±0.58)Hz,respectively;and the tremor frequency was significantly decreased after weight(P0.01).Conclusions ET includes PT and KT,and in which KT take up the advantage in degree and range of tremor. The frequency of ET is stable, and seldom to be influenced by external circumstances.
