摘　　要：晚清三位来华女传教士对中国的自然风貌、中国的社会文化和中国的男人女人都有着自己的解读。女性空间、女性地域延伸以及女性身份等女性主义概念或理论可以用来对女传教士们关于中国相同或不同的解读作一些分析和解释,以此说明在性别社会里,来华的传教活动也有着性别特征。The Western female missionaries coming to China in the late Qing Dynasty conducted their own close readings of China with their various identities as Westerners,female Westerners and female Western missionaries.From the perspective of gender study,and using such concepts or theories as women＇s space,feminist geography and women＇s identity,this paper made an effort in analyzing these Western female missionaries＇ unusual readings of China in aspects of natural landscape,society and culture,and Chinese people,hoping to show that there are gender signs in the Western missionary＇s activities in China in a gendered society.
