《老友记》的语言性别差异研究

摘　　要：自上世纪六十年代以来,语言学家们从文化、权力等角度分析语言性别差异的原因,形成了支配论和差异论两大体系。依据这两个理论体系,对美剧《老友记》中人物语言的语调、词汇、句式等方面进行分析对比,可发现人物性格、社会经历以及语境等非性别因素对语言性别差异均有影响。From the 1960s and 70s,the research on language and gender difference has attracted more and more attention from scholars in various fields.Linguists explained its reason from power and culture aspects,which formed two major models in interpreting the gender differences,that is,Dominance Model and Difference Model.Based on these two models,this paper attempts to explore the gender and language difference by analyzing and comparing the data collected from male and female characters in American sitcom Friends in terms of pronunciation,intonation,lexicon as well as hedges and so on.What＇s more,this study aims to put new factors,such as personality,different social experiences and context into consideration in interpreting gender differences in language use.
