摘 要:采用溶胶-凝胶法,制备了Tb3+掺杂的二氧化硅光波导薄膜和玻璃,采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)对光波导薄膜层进行了表征。SEM观察结果表明,经三层涂覆的薄膜厚度达到1.5μm,多层涂覆对薄膜厚度的调节作用明显,有利于满足模式传输的要求。测试并研究了溶胶-凝胶玻璃的激发和发射光谱。光谱分析表明,365 nm长波紫外光可有效激发SiO2基质,获得SiO2基质的宽谱带本征发射,同时观察到微弱的Tb3+特征发射峰;250 nm短波紫外光可高效激发Tb3+,获得Tb3+在SiO2基质中的特征发射峰。均匀透明并具有高效可见发光性质的稀土掺杂溶胶-凝胶SiO2薄膜和玻璃在光波导器件研制方面具有良好的应用前景。Tb^(3+)-doped SiO_2 optical waveguide films and glasses were synthesized through a sol-gel route.The thickness of Tb^(3+)-doped SiO_2 optical waveguide films was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It is known from the SEM image for the cross section of the film that the three-layer film thickness is about 1.5 μm.And the film thickness may be adjusted through the multilayer spin-coating method,which satisfies with the demands of mode transmission. The excitation and emission spectra of the sol-gel glasses were measured and analyzed.The spectra analysis indicates that SiO_2 hosts are excited efficiently under the long wavelength UV radiation of 365 nm,and the broad intrinsic emission bands of SiO_2 host is gained.Meanwhile,the weak character emission peaks of Tb^(3+) ion were observed.Tb^(3+) ion is excited efficiently under the short wavelength UV radiation of 250 nm,and the character emission peaks of Tb^(3+) ion are gained.The rare-earth-doped sol-gel silicon dioxide optical films and glasses with homogeneous,high transparency and strong visible luminescence indicate a wonderful practical prospect in developing visible optical waveguide devices.
