摘　　要：This article reports the results of the investigation on the practice of the Communicative Approach in classroom English teaching in rural areas in Hebei Province. Surprisingly, it turns out that most of the English teachers in rural areas fail to perform the Communicative Approach in their English classes. So this paper intends to present the results of the investigation, analyze the reasons for the failure of implementing the Communicative Approach in classroom English teaching, and discuss the implications of the findings.本文报道了交际教学法在河北省农村学校实施情况的调查结果。此调查令人吃惊地发现河北省农村大多数英语教师没能在课堂上实施交际教学法。因此本文在呈现调查结果的基础上,对河北省农村中学未能实施交际教学法的原因进行了比较详细地分析,讨论了调查结果对农村英语教学改革的意义,并就如何改变这种状况提出了一些有建设性的意见及有效措施。
