摘  要:张謇是"百科全书"式的历史人物,拥有多顶"家"的桂冠,并被习惯地首称为"实业家"。其实,匡危济世、兴教启民既是张謇兴办实业的心理动因,也是他的人生目标与终极追求,同时,教育活动是其一生最为成功的社会活动。首要的、本质的评价,张謇最应称教育家。张謇视教育为"父",又以"父"事教育。一方面,"父教育"是张謇最富哲理、最为核心、最具个性的教育理念;另一方面,南通教育深深留下了张謇的个人印记,他已成为南通教育之乡之父和南通地方文化的标识。因而,张謇更应称"‘父’教育家"。Zhang Jian was a knowledgeable historical figure who was regarded as experts in a few fields. He was named as businessman. As a matter of fact, the motive of his running business was serf - devotion and education to enlighten the people, which was also his life goal. Education activities were the most successful social ones in his whole life. Therefore, the essence of Zhang Jian was an educator, tie regarded education as "father" and made it his profession. On the one hand, "father education" is the most philosophical and unique core of Zhang Jian' s education ideology. On the other hand, Nantong' s education has deep marks of Zhang Jian and he is the father of Nantong education and the symbol of Nantong local culture. Therefore, Zhang Jian should be named as "father of education".
