走出黔北山门、睁眼看世界的黎庶昌——以《西洋杂志》为例

摘　　要：黎庶昌(1837—1896),贵州遵义人,我国晚清著名外交家和散文家,遵义"沙滩文化"代表人物之一。《西洋杂志》是其先后出使并留心考察德、法、美、西、意、比等国内政、外交、社会及经济见闻而撰著的书籍。文章以《西洋杂志》为线索,对走出黔北山门、睁眼看世界的黎庶昌给予了有见地的评价,认为黎庶昌敢于走出国门是"只缘心中有正气",因而始终抱定"师夷长技以制夷"的观念学习西方的文化与思想,并从器物层面扩及到制度、精神层面,肯定了黎庶昌为中国近代社会传播西方文化做出的努力和贡献。Lin Shuchang （1837--1896）, born in late Qing Dynasty and one of the representativ in Zunyi Guizhou, was a famous diplomat and essayist e figures of Zunyi Shatan Culture. Western Magazine is based on his diplomat mission to Germany, France, the United States, Spain, Italy, and Belgium, and on his experiences with the above countries＇ domestic politics, foreign affairs, society and economy. Re- ferring to Western Magazine, this paper comments on Li Shuchang, who went out of northern Guizhou and look in the world. It proposes that the reason why he dared to go out was that he was honest and that he always learned western culture and thought out of the belief ＂to learning from the enemy thus to defeat it＂. He developed his ideas from implements to system and spirits. This paper recognizes Li Shuchang＇ s contribution to the spread of western culture in modem China.
