时间指示语映射现象的礼貌解读

摘　　要：自我中心性是指示语的基本特征,但为了达到礼貌等语用效果,指示语的自我中心会发生转移而出现指示语映射现象。借助Leech的礼貌原则,以编码时间、一般现在时和心理时间为参照点,分析了三大类时间指示语映射的礼貌功能。研究发现,时间指示语映射在很多情况下能促进人与人之间的沟通交流,但有时也会让人感觉到说话者不友好或不礼貌的态度。在时态教学中引入时间映射概念能提高学生对时态的理解和运用能力。Egocentricity is a basic feature of deixis. However, the deictic centre may sometimes be shifted from the speaker to others out of certain pragmatic motivations llke politeness. Taking coding time, present tense and psychological time as its orientations respectively, three main kinds of temporal deictic projection are observed in detail from the perspective of Politeness Principle. It is shown that projection of temporal deixis, in most eases, can help promote interpersonal communication, but, in certain contexts, may also be used to convey a sense of unfriendliness or impoliteness. With deictic projection introduced into English tense teaching, students are allowed to gain a more flexible command of various English tenses in a wider context of actual use.
