摘　　要：曹之江第一次系统地把常微分算子理论的亏指数理论引入中国,给出了奇异对称微分算子自伴域的完全描述,在当时的微分算子理论的研究领域引起了很大反响。文章以曹之江访谈录为基础,论述常微分算子理论在中国的早期发展。Cao Zhijiang was the first mathematician to introduce the deficiency indices theory of ordinary differential operators systematically. More specifically, he gave a new description of the self- adjoined domain of singular symmetric differential operators, which had a great influence on the field of ordinary differential operators theory. Based on interviews with Professor Ca{）, this paper discusses the early development of ordinary differential operators theory in China.
