南极中山站极光亚暴期间的I(557.7nm)/I(427.8nm)比值变化分析

摘  要:对1999年4月8日南极中山站极光亚暴期间不同谱线的极光强度比值进行讨论,并据此讨论亚暴期间沉降粒子能量随时间变化的情况。得出I(557.7 nm)/I(427.8 nm)和I(630.0 nm)/I(427.8 nm)比值在平静时期分别在5—22和1—2.76之间变化,该变化不是由原子氧浓度空间分布变化所引起,而可能是由沉降粒子的能量变化和一些其他机制所引起;极光亚暴期间,强度比值急剧减小,分别在1.66—6.5和0.071—1之间变化,该变化主要是由于沉降电子能量的增加引起的;在极光亚暴的初始阶段,上述强度比值达到最小,说明初始阶段的沉降电子能量最高,随着极光亚暴的结束,沉降电子的能量也逐渐恢复到亚暴前的水平。Intensity ratios of different auroral lines during an auroral substorm observed at Antarctic Zhongshan Station on April 8,1999 are discussed together with the variation in penetrating electron energy.It was found that the ratio of I(557.7 nm)/I(427.8 nm) during the quiet period ranged from 5 to 22,and the ratio of I(630.0 nm)/I(427.8 nm) ranged from 1 to 2.76,and the cause of the change was not variation in the atomic oxygen concentration,but was possibly due to variation in the penetrating electron energy or other mechanisms;and the ratios decreased sharply during the auroral substorm,varying from 1.66 to 6.5 and from 0.071 to 1 respectively,mainly owing to the increase in penetrating electron energy.At the beginning of the auroral substorm,the ratio was at a minimum,meaning that the penetrating electron energy was at a maximum,whereas when the auroral substorm abated,the penetrating electron energy returned to its pre-substorm level.
