摘　　要：西方传教士在华兴教办学,是他们试图用基督教征服中国而采取的一种手段。但在这个过程中,他们积极创办教会大学,主动参与国立大学的创建,把西方大学教育的理念、管理、课程、内容、方法等引介和移植到中国来,客观上推动了中国传统教育的变革,对中国近代大学的创立和发展起到了推动作用。Doing missionary work and establishing schools in China was a measure taken by the western missionaries who attempted to conquer China. Then they set up missionary universities actively and took part in the establishment of national universities. They tried to introduce and transplant the western educational ideas, management, curriculum, content and method into China. Actually, it promoted the Chinese traditional education and the development of contemporary universities.
