摘　　要：教学评估是大学英语教学的重要组成部分,但在实施过程中,评估往往不具备连续性,影响评估的结果。本文作者认为大学英语教学应实施全程连续评估,为此本文探讨了全程评估的内容及其作用。The assessment is one of the important elements in college English teaching.However,in teaching practice,some strategies of the assessment cannot be applied continuously and the results of the assessment which show students＇ performance might not be true.The writer of the paper believes that all of the strategies for assessment should be adopted in whole school years without interruption.The paper aims at discussing the idea in two points,including the strategies of continuous assessment and its functions.
