摘　　要：《安娜.卡列尼娜》的悲剧结局受到劳伦斯的强烈批评,认为它是托尔斯泰基于正统的道德判断,违背人的本性而蓄意设计的。劳伦斯剖析了托尔斯泰对安娜这一人物塑造的不足之处,并在《圣莫尔》中刻意加以修正和升华,从而不仅清楚地表达了他的艺术主张,而且也显示出俄罗斯文学对其小说理论和创作的深刻影响。The tragic ending of Anna Karenina was severely criticized by D.H.Lawrence,who attributed it to Tolstoy＇s deliberate design which was based on orthodox moral judgment regardless of human nature.By criticizing the characterization of Anna Karenina,Lawrence on his part corrected and transcended the inadequacies in his characterization in St.Mawr.This artistic breakthrough not only helps articulate his theory of novel writing but also shows the profound influence of Russian literature on him in both theory and practice.
