摘　　要：小说节奏是指小说艺术各要素有秩序、可衡量、有一定节律的交替变化过程,反映小说人物、事件、场面等整体向前运动变化的速度。小说节奏在小说创作中已成为一个独立的叙事要素,发挥着自己的功能性作用。本文主要从调节情感运动、控制情节发展、揭示小说主题三方面探讨了小说节奏的叙事功能,并指出:节奏作为小说审美生命的体现,不但是小说形式美的重要因素,而且能使小说的叙事话语带上不同的审美意味和情绪色彩,从而真实、深刻、形象地表现生活的内在意蕴和思想主题。The rhythm of novel refers to the orderly, measurable and rhythmic alternation and variation of novel＇s elements ;it reveals the speed of the integral forward movement of characters, events and scenes in novel. The rhythm of novel has become an independent narrative element in the creation of novel and played indispensable narrative functions. This paper mainly stud- ies its narrative functions from the aspects of regulating emotional movement, controlling plot development and revealing the theme of the novel. The study reveals that as an embodiment of novel＇s aesthetic life,rhythm is not only an important part of the beauty of novel, but also endows the narrative discourse with different aesthetic meanings as well as emotional colors. It can truly, deeply and vividly represent the inner implication and the theme of novel.
