摘　　要：阅读能力是英语学习的基本能力之一。本文在分析当前电大英语阅读教学现状的基础上,指出学员基础差、学习时间有限、阅读教学模式落后、学生不良阅读习惯是其存在的主要问题,并针对这些问题就如何提高学员英语阅读能力提出了一些建议。Reading ability is one of the basical abilities of English learning. On the basis of analysizing the current situation of TV university reading teaching, the article point out the main existing problems in teaching, they are： the bad students basis, the limit study time, the fallbehind pattern of reading teaching, bad reading habits of the students. It also give some suggestions on how to improve the students English reading ability.
