摘　　要：美国拥有世界上独具特色的高等教育评估中介机构,这些机构对于完善美国教育质量保障体系,保证该国高等教育稳定、持续发展起到了极其重要的作用。进入新时期以来,尽管美国的高等教育评估中介机构在发展过程中经历了一些挑战,但其凭借自身原有的良好形成机制、合理的运行模式,不断探索创新,依然保持着高效、健康的运行。美国高等教育评估机构的实践和改革代表了世界高等教育评估中介组织发展的新趋势、新动向,对我国高等教育评估中介机构的建设具有启示意义。There are special features for American higher education assessment intermediaries in the world, and these assessment intermediaries have been playing a very important role in establishing the teaching quality assessment system of institutions and assuring the containable, healthy development of American higher education. Under the new circumstance, though the assessment intermediaries have faced many new challenges, they have adopted the countermeasures positively to maintain moving effectively and healthily by virtue of their original good forming mechanism and the reasonable running model. All these practice and reform represent the present tendency of today＇s area of assessment intermediaries of higher education, which is of great significance for related fields of our higher education.
