摘　　要：英语文学作品中的圆周句句型,通过把最关键的内容置于句末达到制造悬念、幽默、强调和增加信息量的功能,从而使文学作品韵味无穷。读者在阅读英语文学作品时,在理解作品中的圆周句的文字意义的基础之上,更应该深入剖析其语用功能,以提高对英语文学作品的文学欣赏能力。The periodic sentences in British literature make the works boundlessly appealing, through suspension, humor, emphasis and information increase which are created by putting the most important text in the end of a sentence. The readers should further analyze its pragmatic functions on the basis of the comprehension of its literal meaning to enhance their ability for British literature appreciation.
