摘　　要：吉斯勒贝尔（Gislebertus）是欧洲中世纪最为著名的雕刻家。在那个艺术为宗教服务的时代里，艺术家们不过是为教堂打工的无名小卒，而吉斯勒贝尔之所以能名垂青史就在于他做了一件在中世纪独一无二、在整个人类雕塑史上亦是罕见的举动：在1120至1135年左右，他一个人独立完成了法国欧坦（Autun）圣拉扎尔大教堂（cathedral of Saint-Lazare）的雕塑设计工作，外亲手雕刻了包括山花壁面和柱头在内的全部装饰作品。Gislebertus was the most famous sculptor in the medieval Europe. At the time when art served religion, artists were the pawns work- ing for churches, but the reason why Gisle- bertus could leave a name in history was thathe did a unique thing, probably also rare in the sculpture history of mankind. From the year 1120 to 1135, he finished all by himself the designing of sculpture and the carving of all ornamental works including wild flowers on the walls and pillar tops in the Cathedralof Saint-Lazare in Autun, France.
