On Obama's Asia-Pacific Strategy

摘　　要：In 2011, there were three new developments in Northeast Asia: the much heralded return of the U.S. to the Asia-Pacific region; newly-growing tensions in the South China Sea;In 2011, there were three new developments in Northeast Asia： the much .heralded return of the U.S. to the Asia-Pacific region; newly-growing tensions in the South China Sea; and the death of Kim Jong-il, the former leader of North Korea. Since any one of these may change the current Northeast Asian security order, a thorough analysis of their developments is both necessary and urgent. Among the three, U.S. President Barack Obama＇s new Asia-Pacific strategy appears to be the most important. Because of this, the author will focus on an analysis of this development in this paper.
