摘  要:空间数据引擎是近年来发展起来的采用大型 RDBMS管理空间数据的新技术 ,它为 GIS海量数据的组织与共享提供了极大的方便 .该文从 GIS现状和空间数据引擎的原理及相关技术与标准出发 ,提出了基于空间数据引擎的企业化 GIS构建模式和构建步骤 ,指出了用空间数据引擎建立企业化 GIS的优点和不足 ,并借鉴 Internet GIS中的数据获取部件来弥补它互操作的不足 ,最后对当今与空间数据引擎有关的Spatial Data Engine, as a new advanced technology, hasn't been cared for much interiorly. Until recently, relational DBMSs were not adept in handling complex data types such as spatial information. However, DBMS vendors such as Oracle have moved quickly to accommodate complex data type. At the same time, the GIS industry has been moving from propriety, PC based storage techniques towards open standards and advanced DBMS technology. The two converging streams urges the emerging of Spatial Data Engine. With Spatial Data Engine, spatial data and other data are integrated into relation DBMS. It can avoid format transform and integrate spatial and attribute info tightly. Furthermore, it may take advantage of relational DBMS: data integrity, data consistency, multi users access and interoperability among systems, etc. So, spatially enabled RDBMS makes info sharing more easily and people can develop large scale GIS projects such as Enterprise GIS. As a result, more and more companies and organizations will use GIS technology. This paper summarizes the principle of Spatial Data Engine and the correlative technology and standards, then presents the mode and steps while constructing Enterprise GIS based on Spatial Data Engine, at last reflects on some issues on current GIS development about Spatial Data Engine.
