摘　　要：随着医学和电子信息技术的迅速发展，人工神经网络（ANN）越来越多地被应用在重症监护室（ICU）中。ANN可以把大量的临床资料转化为信息，辅助医护人员进行诊断和治疗。在ICU中，ANN的作用有很多，主要是用来进行结果预测。应用ANN对于合理利用我国有限的医疗卫生资源以及改善患者预后具有重要的意义。With the development of medical sciences and intelligent software, the amount of data acquired electronically from patients in intensive care unit （ICU） has grown exponentially, theretbre they were susceptible to analysis by artificial neural network （ANN）. ANN has been used in ICU in a variety of fashions, but most extensively for outcome prediction. ANN can function as intelligent assistant to clinicians, constantly monitoring electronic data streams for important trends.
