摘　　要：In recent weeks, I came across the term ＂home stay＂ three times. First, a young lady brought me some gifts from Ningbo, in Chlna＇s Zhejiang Province, on behalf of a mutual friend. Yan Hong, a Chinese student attending university in the US, told me that she was staying temporarily with a family near Berkeley, a city on the east shore of San Francisco Bay, in Northern California, the United States.
