摘　　要：晚清外交官陈季同在欧洲期间用法文创作了多种传播中华文化的著作,在西方产生重大影响。陈氏作品极力表达中国社会结构务实稳定的特征和中国人愉悦平和的民族个性,塑造了正面美好的中国形象;在具体的写作中,陈氏善于讲中国故事,使文章极富感染力;陈氏作品又是在传播美善、寓教于乐、展现真诚、贴近对象等文化传播观念指导下完成的,陈氏中学西传的实践和观念对于我们当代中华文明的对外传播极富启发意义。Chen Jitong, an elegant diplomat in Late Qing Dynasty, composed different kinds of masterpieces which spread broad Chinese culture and exert a profound effect on western world. Chen＇s works highly express the stable Chinese social structure and peaceful Chinese nationality that establish Chinese glorious image. In his essays, he was apt at telling Chinese folk tales which were full of infectivity. His works not only transmit merits, educate through entertainment, show sincere, but also approach to readers under the certain concept of culture communica- tion. It is significant of Chen Jitong＇s cultural practice and ideas which enlighten us to spread Chinese culture a- broad nowadays.
