摘　　要：大学是思想最活跃、最富创造力的学术殿堂,是新思想、新知识、新文化的摇篮。堪称大学共同体的行为规范、价值取向和道德准则的大学精神,是引导人类从愚昧走向光明的启蒙者。大学精神的重要性,使我们不得不考虑如何继承和创新大学精神,进而以大学精神更快地推动大学的发展。积极开展校史教育,充分发挥名师的作用是继承大学精神的重要途径;倡导着眼未来的超越精神,创新校园文化,推进大学教育国际化进程是创新大学精神的必然选择。Defined as the operative norm, value orientation and moral code of the university communi ty, university spirit guides mankind out of ignorance. Its essentiality makes it compulsory to take its inheritance and innovation seriously. Among the ways suggested are to publicize the university histo ry, take adVantage of distinguished teachers, advocate farsighted educational goals, innovate univer sfty campus culture and to promote the internationalization of university education.
