摘　　要：关于艺术学学科定义的描述需要作适当的补充和进一步的完善。首先是要明确和强调这一学科的中国属性,它是中国特定时期的产物。它与西方的美学、艺术哲学、一般艺术学、艺术史学等学科有着一定的联系。其根本在于借鉴和"拿来",为我所用,为我研究中国艺术之用;根据中国艺术研究现状,我们的艺术研究不仅需要深度,同时也需要广度和角度,并且在不排除艺术内部的同时着重于艺术的外部、即艺术的文化研究。The definition of art studies in China needs broadening. The first is the stress on its Chinese characteristics. Although it is associated with many disciplines in the West such aesthetics, philosophy of art, general art and art history, it is a borrowed discipline oriented toward the study of the Chinese art. Secondly, the status quo of the art studies in China decides that the study should be done intensively as well as extensively. In addition, the cultural study is also a factor that should be included.
