摘 要:终身教育是随着先进生产力发展而在广泛的成人教育实践基础上发展起来的全新教育形态。它弘扬了各类传统教育思想精华,摒弃了传统教育弊端,沟通了各类教育之间的联系,在确立了各类教育在自身体系中的地位和作用的同时,也赋予了各类教育以全新的时代意义。文章以社会科学通用的研究方法,历史地考察了终身教育思想、实践的发展历程,研究了成人教育与终身教育所处社会地位的相对关系,论证了成人教育在终身教育体系中所处的重要地位。文章的研究结论、提出的观点和建议对于我国建立成人教育制度,完善终身体系,建设学习型社会具有较高参考价值。Lifelong education is a new form of education that has developed along with the evolution of an advanced productive society and on the basis of an extensively applied adult education practice. Lifelong education promotes the best practices of traditional education, yet avoids its many corrupt notions. Lifelong education allows communicability between all forms of education, ascertains the role and function of the different forms in their respective systems, and confers upon these forms a totally new and epochal significance. Based on the general research method of social science, this paper has studied historically the development of lifelong education prac- tices and ideas, analyzed the social status and relationship between adult education and lifelong education, and proven that adult edu- cation has an important position in the lifelong education system. The conclusion, including views and suggestions put forward, has a high reference value for our country in establishing the format of adult education, in perfecting the system of lifelong education, and in building a learning society.
