前置形容词主观性的认知语法分析

摘　　要：文章在认知语法框架下探讨了前置修饰语形容词的主观性与位置分布的关系,沿用R.Dirven将其用法分为事物类、等级类、事件类、限定词类的做法,对其重新进行了认知解读。这四类形容词依次从右向左分布在名词短语的前置修饰区,这与认知语法中的名词短语的成分(具体化、事例、量化和语境定位)存在着共通之处:从右向左,其成分主观性依次增强。研究发现,这四类形容词从右向左的分布不仅构成了一个稳定性由强到弱的连续统,而且构成了一个主观性由低到高的连续统。This paper deals with the correlation of the distribution and subjectivity of pre-modifying adjectives within the framework of Cognitive Grammar.A classification of their uses into thing-like,scalar,event-like and determiner-like,in the sense of Dirven,is adopted,with a renewed reading in the cognitive framework.The four types of adjectives find their distribution successively from right to left in the pre-modifying zone of nominal phrase,which has some correlation with nominal structures（type specification,instantiation,quantification and grounding）：both represent a right-to-left gradience in subjectivity.It is demonstrated that from right to left,the four types of adjectives constitute not only a strong-weak continuum in terms of stability,but also an objective-subjective continuum in terms of subjectivity.
