摘　　要：《失乐园》是17世界英国资产阶级革命文学的杰出诗人弥尔顿的代表作,是弥尔顿最为成功的一部作品。通过运用宗教题材,作者曲折地表达了英国资产阶级革命的时代精神。而撒旦这个形象就是这种精神的最好体现。诗人通过对圣经故事的改编反映了其在王政复辟后内心的痛苦以及对资产阶级始终不渝的态度。在长诗中,诗人塑造了一个坚强不屈,反抗权威的资产阶级革命者形象。长诗通篇贯穿了诗人高昂的革命激情和对英国资产阶级革命的反思。Paradise Lost, written by John Milton who was a well-known poet in English Renaissance andRevolution Literature in 17 century, is his masterpiece and the most successful work. The writer, usingthe religious theme, tortuously expresses the spirit Of the times in English Bourgeoisie Revolution, whichembodies the image of ＂Santa＂. John Milton, adapting the story of the Bible, conveys the suffering of res-toration of their monarchy and the consistent attitude of the bourgeoisie. The epic in which the poet crea- ted a strong and unyielding image against the Bourgeoisie Revolution is permeated with a high passion of the poet and reflection of the English Bourgeoisie Revolution.
