摘　　要：作为战后美国文学中的一部重要的政治小说,多克特罗的《但以理书》以冷战期间发生的罗森堡案为蓝本,再现了20世纪50、60年代美国社会中的政治风波。小说的一个显著特征是对持激进主义思想的人物刻划,无论是上世纪40、50年代"老左派"还是60年代的"新左派",在多克特罗的笔下都显露了其问题的多个方面,与此同时,小说也用一种批判的眼光对冷战背景进行了深入剖析,左翼的"激进"同样也表现在右翼的冷战政策和迫害之中。As an important political novel in the post-war American literature,Doctorow＇s The Book of Daniel,based on the Rosenberg case in the early stage of the Cold War,represents the political upheavals in the 1950s and 1960s in American society.What characterizes the novel is its concern with the characters on the left,the so-called old left during the 1940s and 1950s and the new left in the 1960s,and their various problems.Meanwhile,the book takes a critical look at the US Cold War policy in the sense that the ＂radicalism＂ also found its way into the political oppression from the right.
