摘　　要：作为第一部中国艺术批评史著作,凌继尧主编的《中国艺术批评史》一书对艺术批评学科进行了许多开拓性的探索:厘清中国艺术批评史与各种门类艺术批评史、中国文学批评史的学科界限,努力做到"略小而见大,举重以明轻",坚持对原典尽量作出符合它的原初涵义的阐释,并有意追求一种"有深度的通俗"的写作风格。这部具有重要理论创新价值的学术力作,不但体现了一种可贵的理论自觉和精神担当,而且也是以实际行动对艺术学理论能不能成为一门学科的质疑做出了强有力的回应。As the first work on the history of the Chinese art criticism,History of Chinese Art Criticism edited by Ling Jiyao made an pioneering exploration into art criticism.It defines the history of the Chinese art criticism,the history of the Chinese literary criticism and other kinds of art criticism.It interprets the original works faithfully and expresses the profound ideas in language that is easy to understand.As a theoretical tour de force,it supplies a gap in this field.It is not only a manifestation of art researchers' awareness in theoretic innovation,but also an definite answer to the doubts as to whether art theory can be a discipline.
