摘　　要：关于革命派与保皇派第一次有影响的论战的时间和对象,新闻史学界和历史学界都有不同说辞。本文认为论战时间是1903年而非1902年,《中国日报》的论战对象是《岭海报》而非《岭南报》。There are different views in circles of journalism and historian about the first influential controversy between the revolutionary and the loyalist. This paper suggests that this controversy took place in 1903 instead of 1902, and China Daily argued with Linghai Daily instead of Lingnan Daily.
