演讲稿中长句翻译的处理办法——以翻译奥巴马的一篇演讲稿为例

摘　　要：演讲稿是常见的文体,在翻译中经常会遇到一些较长的句子,如果不加以特殊处理,会使得译文不适于朗读,因此汉译英文演讲稿时应注意翻译出演讲者的语气。奥巴马的演讲中经常出现长句,选取宾语从句,定语从句和排比句三种主要句式进行分析,翻译时须采用必要的分句,增加逻辑关系,保留风格等翻译手法,以更好地传达演讲稿的语气。Public speech is a common writing type, while a lot of long sentences will emerge in translating. Without careful dealing, the version will not be suitable for reading. Thus, the version should express the author＇s speaking style. The public speeches made by Mr. Obama often include many long sentences, in which three main sentence patterns, namely, the object clause, the attributive clause, and the parallelism sentences are selected to be analyzed. In translating, such methods as division, amplification of logic relations and preservation of manner should be applied to better express the speaking style of the public speeches.
