摘　　要：近年来,图书馆社会责任研究逐渐成为图书馆界关注的新领域之一,也逐渐形成了对此问题的共识。本文对美国图书馆协会和我国图书馆界开展的社会责任活动进行了阐述,针对我国图书馆事业的现状,对我国图书馆界应承担的社会责任进行了积极探索,提出了参考性建议。In recent years, the research on the library＇s social responsibility is becoming one of the emerging areas of concern by the library community, and gradually formed a consensus on this problem. The paper states social responsibility activities carried out by the American Library Association and our libraries. According to the library cause of our country, it explored actively the social responsibility taken by the libraries in China, and proposed a reference to the recommendations.
