Fiscal Pressure Is On

摘　　要：In the first half of 2012, China＇s GDP growth rate slumped to 7.8 percent. For the govern- ment, it also means a slowdown in the growth of fiscal and tax revenue. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of 2012, fiscal revenue was 6.38 trillion yuan （S1 trillion）, up 12.2 percent year on year, 19 percentage points lower than the growth of a year earlier. Tax revenue hit 5.49 trillion yuan （S862.43 billion）, up 9.8 percent year on year, 19.8 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.
