摘　　要：根据上海天文台 1 .56米望远镜提供的Hale Bopp彗星近核观测资料 ,利用两种不同的方法对该彗星的自转轴指向进行了测定 .两种方法求出的自转轴指向结果非常接近 ,Hale Bopp彗星自转轴指向点的赤经为 0 h1 4m32 s,赤纬为 - 49°0 9′35″( 2 0 0 0年历元 ) .With the observed images provided by the 1.56m telescope of Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, two independent methods are used to orient the spin axis of comet Hale Bopp. The two sets of results thus obtained coincide with each other. The R.A. and the Decl. of the spin axis of the comet are about 0 h14 m32 s and -49°09′35″ (epoch 2000), respectively.
