摘　　要：由于英汉两语的差异,英汉翻译过程中需运用各种翻译方法。通过省略英语特有的词、省略汉语多余的词等方式,能使译文更加符合译入语的语言习惯。In the translation of English to Chinese, various methods are used because of the difference between the English and Chinese language. Ellipsis is considered as an important method when doing translation in order to make the sentences more smooth and natural.
