摘　　要：外语经济学是经济学的一个新兴研究领域,它是把广义的外语作为一个单独的变量来研究我国或其他发展中国家的有限的外语资源在经济活动中运用的一门学科。具体主要阐述了外语的经济学研究内容,探讨外语与经济的关系、语言互换所体现的经济价值、语言交换的决定因素及效率、外语资源的合理配置、外语应用于涉外经贸活动的经济学分析等问题。Foreign Language Economies is an emerging research area in economics. It is a brand new discipline which considers the broad foreign language as a separate variable and studies how limited foreign language resources should be used in economic activitis in China or other developing countries. This paper specifically illustrates the contents of foreign language economics research. It discusses a series of related issues as the rela- tions of foreign language and economics, the economic value reflected in the course of language exchange, the determinants language exchange and its efficiency, rational allocation of foreign language resources and economic analysis when foreign languages used in foreign trade activities.
