摘　　要：Since the magnitude 8 earthquake razed large areas of Southwest China＇s Sichuan Province in May 2008, the governments of the province＇s Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefectures and Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County and their local women＇s federations have explored ways to help local residents improve their living standards. A typical example is Wenchuan （in Northwest Sichuan）＇s attempt to increase the income of local Qiang women through the embroidery project.
