The singing Ci in the Ming Dynasty is an objective existence that no one can deny. Starting with the relationship between Ci and Qu , this article concludes that the plain and unrefined "singing Ci" is closest to Qu. Though it was gradually refined in its development, it still existed and developed among people, and even in the works of some scholars. The change of Ci into Qu was actually the natural choice of Ci looking for source and absorbing nutrients on the verge of disappearance. Excellent singing Ci could combine the good points of both Ci and Qu, manifesting real, natural and interesting aesthetic flavor. It embodied the development and direction of Ci in the Ming Dynasty and prepared for the prosperity of Ci in the Qing Dynasty.
