摘　　要：论文将怀旧视为一种集体事件和文化景观,由于历史街区在现代城市中代表传统的力量,因而文章从历史街区的怀旧这个侧面引出当代中国城市美学的现代性问题。论文首先回顾了历史街区保护的制度化过程,然后深入分析了当代中国城市历史街区的命运抉择,指出由于大规模的旧城改造、仿古建筑的大量臆造以及保护理论的矛盾性和复杂性,当前我们对城市美学现代性的认识进入到一种误区,在规划思想的转变尚未完成、理性异化和感性迷失的状态下,历史街区的保护已处于十分危险的境地,最后,文章认为当代中国城市美学的现代性应转向对人的关注,提出历史街区的保护要回归到以人为本的理念,并在此基础上构筑新的城市美学。Abstract： In this paper nostalgia is regarded as a kind of collective event and cultural landscape. Since historic districts represent the traditional power in modern city, this paper begins the analysis of modernity of contemporary Chinese urban aesthetics from the nostalgia of historic districts. Firstly it reviews the institutionalization process of historic districts preservation. Secondly, it analyzes the choices of fate of contemporary Chinese urban historic dis- tricts ; and it points out that, due to the large scale old city reconstruction, a great deal of construction of pseudo - classic architecture, and the contradiction and complication of preservation theory, our understanding of the moder- nity of Chinese urban aesthetics has come to a misconception.. With the unchanged planning, rational dissimilation, and lack of perception, the preservation of historic districts is in great danger. Finally, the paper argues that con- temporary Chinese urban aesthetics should focus on humanity; that the preservation of historic districts should come back to the people - oriented theory ; and that, on the basis of this, we can construct a new urban aesthetics.
