探索英汉学习词典编纂的中国模式——以《新英汉词典》为例

摘　　要：中国人一直没有停止英汉词典的自主编纂,出版了不少高水平的词典,但在国内英汉学习词典市场上,引进版词典仍然占据着大半江山。为此,我们需要解读其原因。《新英汉词典》作为自主编纂学习词典的代表,已出版四版,其以中国词典使用者的需求为目标的编纂模式值得我们探索。我们认为《新英汉词典》为实现多种用途而实施的词典类型整合、体现汉语言特色的词目释义与例证翻译以及新词新义的创造性收录是其创立中华民族词典品牌的重要原因。Although the compilation and publication of English-Chinese dictionaries have long been set up in China, most of the English-Chinese learners＇ dictionaries in Chinese market are from foreign publishers. The reason of this phenomenon needs exploring. The four editions of A New EnglishChinese Dictionary are the representative of Chinese compiled dictionaries, with large amount of distribution and great influence. Their compiling characteristics of style integration, highly valued target language, and innovative word-collection for pursuing Chinese users＇ actual needs should be regarded as good examples of Chinese-style compilation.
