摘　　要：典籍英译是把中国优秀传统文化推向世界的主要途径。经过多年的发展,中国典籍英译在翻译实践和学科建设等方面取得了很大的成绩,正面临更大的发展机遇。本文回顾了典籍英译所取得的成绩,分析了现存的问题,并提出了可资借鉴的具体对策。Translating Chinese classics into English is one of the major means to promote excellent traditional Chinese culture worldwide. Through years of development, the English Translation of Chinese Classics has made great progress. The paper first summarizes the past achievements in this area, and then it analyzes some major problems and proposes feasible solutions. It is hoped that the suggestions made will be of use for the further development of the English Translation of Chinese Classics.
