摘　　要：Scope and Policy The Journal of Chongqing University-English Edition (JCQU-E) is a peerreviewed journal publishing research articles in multiple disciplines of science and technology, covering civil and environmental engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer and data processing, mining, metallurgy, materials science, and interdisciplines thereof.Scope and Policy The Journal of Chongqing University-English Edition （JCQU-E） is a peerreviewed journal publishing research articles in multiple disciplines of science and technology, covering civil and environmental engineering, chemical engineer- ing, biotechnology, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer and data processing, mining, metallurgy, materials science, and interdisciplines thereof. JCQU-E pays special attention to the understanding of environmental challenges and technologies to address them. Particularly, we take it as our responsibility to promote communication of achievements in understanding and improving the environment of the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Reservoir area therein. We also welcome research articles of significant contribution to the knowledge of engineering geology, aquatic environment, atmospheric environment, agrology, hydroscience and hydraulics, ecology, resources use and sustainability associated with freshwater systems in any part of the world. Our purpose is to forge the journal＇s prestige in the community of science and technology related to human beings＇ knowledge and behaviors over their habitation and wits to preserve rivers, lakes and wetlands that provide millions of people with drinking water and food, with a constant concern for the Three Gorges Reservoir area, which is the publication place of the journal.
