摘　　要：本文结合汉英文化的历史传统、哲学传统、修辞学传统、文学传统和研究传统等,对汉英双关语的历史渊源、传统嬗变和使用现状等人文传统进行了对比研究,同时探讨了当代国内外英汉双关语研究的现状与趋势。The paper, starting from the perspectives of the Western and Eastern punning traditions in history, philosophy, rhetoric, and literature, explores the historical origins, historical uses, and developmental stages. An analysis of the present researches and trends of researches into the pun both home and abroad is ＇also conducted.
