摘　　要：威廉.梅克比斯.萨克雷代表作《名利场》影射了当时的社会问题以及人们脆弱扭曲的心理,真实地再现了一个只知追逐名利、糜烂腐败的社会。以现代创伤理论为支撑,揭示作品女主人公贝基.夏普在追逐名利财富中逐渐扭曲的病态心理,揭示了贝基悲剧性复仇的真正寓意,探讨了创伤心理在毁灭人性过程中的内在驱动作用。Vanity Fair, William Makepeace Thackeray＇ s masterpiece, reflects the social problems and people＇s weak and distorted mind, and authentically depicts a society that only cares about pursuing fame, profit and extravagance. Through the exploration of Becky＇ s traumatic psyche, the thesis tries to dig into the causes of people＇ s mental distortion and disillusionment, and discover the allegorical connotation of her traumatic revenge and reveal the inner drive of trauma in the process of distorting human psyche.
