此模仿非彼模仿:外语学习中模仿的谜米学理论依据

摘　　要：近年来,行为主义学习理论中所主张的模仿在外语学习中的作用屡遭质疑,这与人们对模仿简单机械式地"操作"和"强化"的刻板印象是分不开的。然而,模仿的涵义绝不仅限于此。谜米学的产生也从理论上对模仿作了进一步的阐释,即模仿是分层次的,包括表层模仿和深层模仿,模仿的内容决定模仿的层次,即使最简单的模仿也是离不开认知参与的。模仿在外语学习中的作用也是不容忽视的。Memetics, a new theory of cultural evolution provides a new theoretical explanation for the development of human languages. According to this theory, memes duplicate, propagate and transmit themselves through imitation. Thus,language memes are close-related with imitation. Different levels of imitation including surface structure imitation and deep structure imitation are widely used in second language or foreign language learning and acquisition, which might call for the rehabilitation of the role of imitation in FLA.
