摘　　要：20世纪初汉语饱受冲击,甚至有人提出废弃汉语,其母语地位岌岌可危。作为中国新文学奠基者之一的周作人,认识到语言文字不仅是维系民族国家的纽带,也代表着汉文学的传统,因此他自觉维护汉语的母语地位并对其进行完善。周作人积极倡导"欧化",通过翻译理论和创作实践丰富了现代汉语,使现代汉语文学呈现出与传统文学不同的特征。In the early 21 century, Chinese language is attacked severely and some even advocates the abandonment of Chinese and its position as the native language is endangered. As one of the founders of new literature, ZHOU Zuo-ren recognizes that language is not only the bond of the nation, but also the tradition of Han literature, so he consciously maintains the position of Chinese and perfects it as well. ZHOU Zuo-ren advocates actively ＂Europeanization＂ and through translation theory and practice enriches modern Chinese and makes it present different characteristics from traditional literature.
