Objective In order to supply a basis for uniting the normal reference value standard of hemoglobin of Chinese in- fant girls. Methods A research was made about relationship between the normal reference value of 3 771 examples of hemo- globin of infant girls and five geographical factors in 40 areas in China, which were determined by the way of HiCN laws. Re- suits It was found that the correlation of geographical factors and the normal reference value of hemoglobin of infant girls were quite significant (F=8. 54). Applying the method of mathematical regression analysis, one regression equation was giv- en out:Y=163.3+0. 006 483X1 -0. 935 0X3 +0. 016 94X5 ±19.8. Conclusion If geographical values are obtained in some areas, the normal reference value of hemoglobin of infant girls of this area can be reckoned using regression equations. Fur- thermore, according to the similarity of the normal reference value of hemoglobin of infant girls, taking the altitude as the main dividing basis and considering effects of other geographical factors and population distribution. China can be divided in- to six regions : Qingzang, Southwest, Northwest, Southeast, North and Northeast region.
