摘　　要：文章吸收OECD成员国高等教育发展的主要指标,包括高等教育成就、高等学校生均经费、高等教育毛入学率和高等教育生师比,旨在通过江苏省高等教育发展的各项指标与OECD成员国高等教育发展的各项指标进行比较,分析江苏省高等教育现代化的现实处境,预测其前景。文章引入社会发展背景因素,分析其与高等教育现代化的关系,在此基础上提供参照性的高等教育现代化的目标设想。文章认为,江苏省高等教育现代化具有一定的基础,而真正实现高等教育现代化,需要江苏省自身的合理定位、国家高等教育发展和社会整体进步的支撑。This paper,based on the indicators of the development of higher education of OECD member countries,including higher education achievements,average cost of higher education,total enrollments rate of higher education and the ratio of teachers and students of higher education,makes an analysis on the higher education developments in Jiangsu Province and the prospect of the modernization of higher education in Jiangsu.By comparing detailed data of the higher education developments in Jiangsu,in China and in OECD member countries,the paper gives a picture of the modernization of higher education in Jiangsu at present and in the future.The paper also makes an analysis on the relations between the development of higher education and social development of Jiangsu and OECD member countries,and the paper finds that the modernization of higher education is greatly influenced by the level of social development both in Jiangsu and in OECD member countries.According to the results of the study,the paper concludes that Jiangsu will have ideal prospects of modernization of higher education,though the progress of will be influenced by some complicated factors.
