摘　　要：培育学科特色是地方高校学科发展的根本出路。桂林理工大学在环境学科建设过程中,通过走"立足地方经济,服务行业发展"之路,以构建高水平教学科研平台作为人才培养的突破口,取得了一系列标志性成果,培养了一大批环境类高素质创新型人才,形成了在国内具有比较优势的环境学科,为地方高校特色学科发展提供有益的参考。Subject characteristics is the fundamental way out for development of local university subjects.Guilin University of Technology obtained a series of symbolic achievements by basing on the local economy, providing services for industry development and constructing teching and research platform during the subject construction of environmental sciences and engineering.This University training many high-quality innovative talents in the environmental field.The environmental subjects in Guilin University of Technology have comparative advantages in China,and provide a useful model for the development of characteristic discipline in local university.
